The Antimonopoly Committee permitted Salic UK to acquire stocks of 11 companies of Mriya agricultural holding, exceeding 50% in the highest management bodies of companies, according to AMCU’s reports, ET reports.
Salic obtained permission to purchase Cypriot companies Mriya Holding Cyprus Limited and Mriya Trading (Cyprus) Limited, as well as registered in Ukraineа Cargo LLC, Lemkivska Mriya, Mriya Bukovyna, Mriya Glybochyny, Mriya Karpat, Mriya Pidgaitsy, Mriya Podillya, Novagris and Asco Trading House.
Reportedly, a new investor plans to purchase before maturity the eurobonds of Mriya Farming Plc, parent company of Mriya Agricultural Holding. It refers to the securities, amounting to over 208 mln dollars, issued within restructuring the company’s liabilities.
During two years, a new owner plans to invest up to USD 150 million in the new equipment, infrastructure, agricultural technologies and consolidation of land bank of Mriya, to lead its activities to global level.
The land bank of Mriya will increase up to 210 ths ha – its assets will be supplemented with 45 ths hectares, belonging to Ukrianian Continental Farmers, also owned by SALIC.
