The Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine is introducing alterations to the Tax Code
The Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine announces it will enter some alterations to the Tax Code of Ukraine, which will exempt the citizens of Crimea from taxes, the First Deputy Minister for Revenue and Duties Ihor Belous said, the ministerial press- office reports.
«In our view, Crimea is the territory of Ukraine, and its residents are our citizens. Nowadays, the Crimeans cannot pay taxes. Thus, they will be given tax exemption for the period the occupation lasts – this is the only way to bring them back to the legal framework of Ukraine», - Ihor Belous said.
The relevant bill on particularities of taxation on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol city will put into force the proposed alterations being worked out now by the experts of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine.
Looking back, at the end of March the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine introduced a new mechanism that allows the local business entities in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city to pay taxes in conformity with the legislation of Ukraine, having reregistered its business on the territory of any oblast of Ukraine or Kyiv city.
