Throughout January 2015, the citizens of Ukraine submitted above 18 thousand tax returns to declare the income received. A number of tax applicants this year decreased by 15% compared to the figures for the last year, the press-office of the National Fiscal Service reports.
Thus, compared to January 2014, a number of tax returns filed in Donetsk oblast dropped by almost 70% (in 2014 they numbered 2184 files, in 2015 – 676 files), in Luhansk oblast – decreased by nearly 75% (in 2014 - around 1435 tax returns; in 2015 – 386 files). In Crimea, last January, there were submitted 1140 tax returns.
Along with this, tax return filing rates raised in Kirovograd, Lviv, Zakarpatie and Kharkiv oblasts.
Kyiv city, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts reported submission of a larger part of tax returns.
According to the data stated in the tax returns, the income declared by the Ukrainians totalled 1.5 billion hryvnias that exceeded by 23% or by 288.5 million hryvnias the figures for the previous year. The amount to be paid is 38.1 million hryvnias in taxes levied on individuals, which surpassed by 15% or 4.9 million hryvnias the figures for a similar period a year ago.
Around 5 thousand persons exercised their right to tax refund; in so doing, the refundable income taxes made up 8.6 million hryvnias.
It is worth noting that January 1 of the current year is the date of beginning of declaring taxes on income obtained throughout 2014. Income tax returns should be filed to the fiscal bodies lodged at the registration address of the taxpayer.
The taxpayers willing to get tax refunds until December 31, 2015, should file tax returns no later than April 30, 2015.
