Further plans to extend validity to 3 years
From 1 November 2013 the Revenues Ministry will issue Public Key Certificates to customers of accredited key certification center for two years, the press service of the Ministry informs.
Key Certification Center under the Ministry gained this possibility following the accreditation procedures. Centre's new technology certificates and servers were formed, which helped extend the validity of digital signatures.
According to the experts at Revenues Ministry, this innovation saves taxpayers time to acquire keys, as well as contributes to their greatest possible attraction to actively using information and communication technologies.
The Ministry also noted that shortly the duration of electronic key for individuals will increase to 3 years. Such changes are suggested by experts in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the Procedure for accreditation of certification authority. In addition, up to 6 years can be prolonged the duration of the certificate from the accredited center. The project is currently under discussion.
