As part of the experiment, for raising customs proceeds, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended police officers’ powers on the control over customs officers, according to the resolution №479 dated June 20, which entered into force, HB reports.
According to it, the police officers have the right to stay round the clock in customs control areas of state border checkpoints and other places of the customs territory of Ukraine, in which the State Fiscal Service (SFS) authorities fulfill customs formalities for finding the facts of violating customs rules.
The police officers and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs obtained the right of access to the automated customs registration system Inspector-2006. During the next week, SFS should determine the procedure of providing the police officers and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the access to the system Inspector-2006.
The resolution sets the time limits for the experiment by the end of the current year.
