The law on education of the Supreme Anticorruption Court will come to force from the next day after publication.
President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law on the Education of the Supreme Anticorruption Court (SACC), the press office of the president reported on Tuesday, 26 June, Correspondent.net reports.
Poroshenko signed the document while participating in celebrations, devoted to the graduation of master degree students of the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University.
“I am confident that today, this our meeting will be remembered. I decided that today, here we should sign the law on the Anticorruption Court”, the President said.
Poroshenko reminded that this law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in very short terms in the first reading and in general.
“I think that it will be symbolical that this process will be launched within these walls”, the President added.
It should be reminded that on June 21, the Verkhovna Rada approved the presidential draft law (№8497) on creating the Supreme Anticorruption Court of Ukraine.
This law is technical and necessary for starting SACC activities through fulfilling the requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine, Law on the Supreme Anticorruption Court and Law on the Court Organization and the Status of Judges.
The law enters into force on the next day after publication.
