The food retailer Novus Ukraine plans to open 8 points of sale in Kyiv by end of the year, Delo.ua reports.
The other day, Novus opened 25th store of the chain. It is already the second shopping facility, opened by the company in this year.
Last year, the company attracted a loan, amounting to 25 mln euros from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. The retailer planned to allocate these funds for financing the chain expansion and opening the new logistics center.
In July, AMCU permitted the owner company Novus and Cypriot Castle Black to purchase the agricultural company Crousman Constructions.
It should be reminded that Novus is represented on the Ukrainian market from 2018. Since then, the chain of company’s stores increased up to 40 markets with total area of over 170 ths sq. meters.
The company develops the shopping facilities of different formats with the area, totaling 800-7000 sq.m., including franchising ones.
As per results of 2016, the chain ranked among top 10 of the leading retailers of Ukraine in terms of goods turnover. The proceeds of the retailer in 2016 were UAH 7.1 bln that exceeded the same indicator of 2015 by more than a quarter.
It should reminded that in July 2018, Auchan Retail Ukraine, which is part of Auchan Holding, will open the first in Ukraine stores in the format “at the house” under the guise of “My Auchan”.
