From August 1, the government of Sweden will provide 380 thousand dollars of additional financial assistance to the Ukrainian Union of Public Organizations and Experts “Emergency Package of Reforms” (EPR) for 12 months for promoting further reforms and developing the civil community in Ukraine, the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine informed to ET.
EPR proved itself as the reliable partner and demonstrated the effective model of cooperation of authorities and community in ensuring democratic transformations in the country; that is why Sweden is happy to continue supporting this organization, according to the message.
It is noted that Sweden, which always supported EPR, will now become the largest partner of the organization for the next 12 months.
For the next 12 months, EPR will obtain the legal status, and the further funding will be sent directly to the organization.
“The Emergency Package of Reforms” is the coalition of leading public organizations and experts of Ukraine, which united for launching and implementing reforms in the country. EPR functions as the coordination center for 83 nongovernmental organizations and 22 expert groups, which develop, promote and oversee implementation of the reforms. For 4 years, 123 laws were adopted with the support of EPR.
