The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will allocate the loan, amounting to $15 mln of the Ukrainian company Modern-Expo, which produces and supplies the trading and warehouse equipment for shops, EBRD’s press office reports, HB reports.
“EBRD supports the activities of one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of the equipment for retail stores and warehousing facilities in Central and Eastern Europe, giving it a 7-year loan, amounting to $15 mln”, according to the message.
The loan funds are disbursed for 7 years and will be allocated for increase the production volumes on two major production platforms of the company in Lutsk (Ukraine) and Vitebsk (Belarus).
Modern-Expo has been operating in Ukraine for over 20 years. In 2014, the company also opened the production in Belarus. The company obtains about 65% of its revenues from the export to more than 60 countries of the world. It supplies its products to such large international retailers, as Auchen, Carrefour, Billa, Nestle and many others.
EBRD is the largest international financial investor in Ukraine. Since the beginning of its activities in the country in 1993, the bank undertook the joint obligations on providing almost €12.1 bln within about 400 projects.
