The situation on the market of pawnshops and financial companies of Ukraine differs from the state of business in insurance. That is why the non-banking regulator does not find it necessary to toughen requirements. The pawnbrokers and FCs will not be required to increase the existing capital and reach new targets, Member of the National Commission for Regulation of Financial Services promised in the interview to UBR.ua.
The official explained the logic, according to which the regulator’s views on non-banking financial institutions of Ukraine changed.
They do not pose serious risks because they do not attract the deposits of individuals (like banks); however, at the same time, they actively fund the population as well as the small and medium business. Demonstrating the strong dynamics on all main activities of the company at the same time. It has been found than it does not scare the dedicated Commission, and they do not mind increasing the volumes of transactions.
