Ukraine and the European Union agreed about the necessity of further liberalization of quotas and duties as well as strengthening governmental cooperation and contacts with business, as Ukraine’s Trade Representative Natalia Mikolskaya said in her Twitter, commenting the session of EU-Ukraine Association Committee, taking place in Kyiv, UNIAN press-service reports.
“We have agreed with Eva Sinovets (Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission - UNIAN): not only additional liberalization of quotas and duties is important, but also the governmental and B2B (business to business - UNIAN) dialogue”, - she wrote.
As UNIAN reported, the European Union is ready to provide support tools to Ukraine for removal of bad influence of trade aggression from Russia on the economy.
The first session of EU-Ukraine Association Committee, during which the mutual cooperation in trade sphere is discussed, is held on April 12-13 in Kyiv.
The sides discuss the development of relationships of Ukraine and the European Union with other trade partners. In addition, the first session will implement the institutional mechanism of free trade area and envisages functioning of four special subcommittees: on sanitary and phytosanitary issues, customs issues and trade facilitation, geographical indications as well as trade and sustainable growth.
