Today, in Solotvino, Tiachevskii District of Zakarpattia Region, the working meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Romania Lazar Comanescu will be held, UNIAN reports.

The consulate of Romania will be opened in the Policy and Communications Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on the eve of the meeting in Solotvino with participation of the chairman of Zakarpattia region state administration Henadii Moskal.

Klimkin and Comanescu will discuss the range of questions of the bilateral cooperation and, in particular, the ways of realization of agreements, reached during the visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Romania on April 21, 2016.

The special attention will be given to the question of cross-border and regional cooperation, the development of infrastructure of Ukrainian and Romanian state border, the solution of educational and cultural problems of the Ukrainian national minorities in Romania and Romanian in Ukraine.

The ministers will sign the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Romania about the cancellation of payment for execution of long-term (national) visas, due to which the Ukrainians and Romanians will be able to free-of-charge receive entry and stay permits for more than 90 days.

The ministers will also provide the citizens of two countries the permits for crossing borders within the current agreement about the local border movement.

On May 7 Klimkin plans to visit the Ukrainian Shevchenko Lyceum in the Romanian town Sighetu Marmației and conduct the meeting with the representatives of the local Ukrainian community.
