The document will be submitted for discussion in the parliament, Correspondent.net reports.
The petition on introduction of the visa-free regime for short-term trips of Ukrainians to Canada scored the necessary quantity of votes and soon it will be considered by the Federal parliament. The petition was endorsed by a five times larger amount of people, necessary for its submittal to parliament, Ukrinform reports.
It is stipulated that after the document will be registered in the sessional hall, the Government will have 45 days for preparation of the written reply.
The author of the petition, the Canadian of the Ukrainian origin Nick Kravitz notes that the signatures under the petition have been put by 107 acting federal deputies and senators from four main political parties, including three party leaders.
According to him, the document will be delivered next week to the discussion, that’s why by the end of June we may expect for an official response to it.
