The embassy employees should conduct more rigorous check of “population groups”, which can pose threat to the country.
The White House ordered to toughen the procedure of US visa issuance and assigned the embassy and consulate employees to check social media of those, wishing to obtain visa, who visited territories, captured by ISIS terrorist group, Correspondent.net reports, quoting The Associated Press.
It is noted that the respective instructions were sent to all US delegations on March 17.
The embassy employees should now conduct a more rigorous check of “population groups”, which can pose threat to US security. It is not explained which groups are referred in these documents, included into the order of the agency.
The check includes the questions about the past of the person, requesting the visa, and the mandatory check of the history in social networks, if he visited the ISIS controlled territories or is suspected of having ties with ISIS or other Islamist organizations.
The result of this check will be attached to the case of the person, wishing to obtain the visa.
It should be reminded that on March 6, US President Donald Trump signed a new order, which he introduced a temporary ban on the entry to the USA for the citizens of six Middle East and North Africa countries with predominantly Muslim population.
As Correpondent.net reports, after the first version of Trump’s migration order, US cancelled about 60 ths visas.
