President of Moldova Igor Dodon and Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU) Tigran Sarkyasian will sign the memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The ceremony will be the part of the International Forum “Eurasian Economic Union – Republic of Moldova”, opening on Monday in Chisinau.
“Moldova is interested in the cooperation with EAEU, which has benefits for our country – according to numerous surveys, more than 50% citizens of our country support it. We must definitely find common interests and opportunities for cooperation with our neighbors - EU and our friends – strategic partners from the Eurasian Union”, President of Moldova said during the conversation with TASS correspondent, Kazinform reports.
He emphasized that the aim of memorandum is to activate the comprehensive cooperation among EAEU member countries, the Eurasian Economic Commission and Moldova, which will allow increasing the volumes of mutual trade and investments, implement measures, aimed eliminating the barriers, impeding the development of trade and investment attraction.
The memorandum does not contradict with other agreements, singed by Moldova, such as the EU Association Agreement. Moldova is destined to be in good relationships with the East as well as with the West”, Dodon summarized.
Member of the Board for Integration and Macroeconomy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatiana Valovaya, RF Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexei Gruzdev, Chief Economist of the Eurasian Development Bank Yaroslav Lysovolyk and other guests are expected to participate in the forum.
