As INTERFAX.RU reports, RF Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev signed the resolution on the time limits, for which the legal entities should provide information about their beneficiary owners, as reported on Thursday on the official website of RF Government.
The decision is reportedly approved within the improvement of the national system of prevention of legalization of the proceeds from crime. The resolution, prepared by Rosfinmonitoring, states the time limits of informational interaction of the Federal Tax Service (its territorial bodies), the Federal Financial Monitoring Service (its territorial bodies) and legal entities within five working days during the time of receipt of the respective request about their beneficiary owners.
In addition, it is stipulated that the legal entities should send responses to the respective requests of authorized bodies in hard or soft copy, as well as may send the clarified information within three working days.
In Russia, the legislation obligates the companies to store information about their final beneficiaries and provide it only as per the request.
The information about final beneficiaries may not always be available, primarily regarding the legal entities with foreign participation.
The individual beneficiary owner, who directly or indirectly (through third parties) owns (has the dominant participation of more than 25% in the capital) the legal entity or can control its actions.
