Only 14 out of 32 banks, operating in Kazakhstan, increased the asset volumes for the first month of 2018.
The assets of eight Kazakhstani banks got into the red for one month. Just for January 2018, the total volumes decreased by 434.3 billion tenge; now, they amount to 23.8 trillion, Today.kz reports quoting Ranking.kz.
For the last year, the asset portfolio of the second-tier banks (STB) decreased by 1.4 trillion tenge.
For January, the bank loan portfolio got into red by 367.3 billion (2.7 percent), up to 13.2 trillion tenge, and for the year – by 2.1 trillion tenge (13.6 percent).
Currently, the share of loan portfolio is 55.6 percent; last year it was 60.7 percent.
Only 14 out of 32 banks, operating in Kazakhstan, increased the volumes of assets for the first month of 2018. Out of top ten banks in terms of the volumes of assets, only ATFbank and Housing Construction Savings Bank are in the black.
ATF, the asset portfolio of which increased by 144.7 billion tenge (11.8 percent) per month, up to 1.4 trillion tenge, became the leader of absolute increment. The share of Kazakhstani STBs increased from 5.1. to 5.8 percent that allowed ATFBank to move from the eighth to seventh position in the ranking of the banks in terms of their volume of assets.
The next one is Citibank with the increment, amounting to 71.4 billion (13.5 percent), up to 598.3 billion tenge. The share of Kazakhstani STBs increased from 2.2 to 2.5 percent for the month.
The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China closes top three in terms of the increment – the monthly increment of assets amounted to 70 billion (plus 66.3 percent), up to 175.6 billion tenge. The share of Kazakhstani STBs increased from 0.4 to 0.7 percent.
