In Ukraine, the average or major road repair costs about 10 million hryvnia per kilometer.
Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said this during interview with the BIG MONEY project.
"This year, the number of repaired kilometers is 4 thousand. This is a huge amount. In Ukraine, the average or major road repair costs about UAH 10 million per kilometer, which is a record low amount, compared to any neighboring states," Omelyan said.
According to him, among EU countries the cheapest kilometer of an autobahn in Bulgaria is 3 million euros, in Poland - from 5 million euros to 7 million euros.
Omelyan noted that such savings are achieved through cheaper labor and raw materials.
It should be reminded that, according to Ukravtodor, in 2017 in Ukraine, more than 2 thousand km of roads were repaired and built, which is twice as high as in the previous year.
As reported, according to Ukravtodor estimates, it is necessary to allocate 2 trillion hryvnias for major repairs of all roads that connect settlements throughout Ukraine.
It should be reminded that in the state budget for 2018, 44 billion hryvnia will be allocated for road repairs (out of which 32.6 billion hryvnia is the budget of the State Road Fund).
