The volume of dividends, repatriated from Ukraine in 2018, may amount to $ 2.5-3 billion.
Deputy Governor of National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Oleg Churii said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"For the year, we expect a total repatriation of dividends of approximately $ 2.5-3 bn. This is slightly higher than our forecast, but this is not critical," he said at the roundtable in Kiev.
At the same time, Churii noted that about 70-80% of repatriated dividends are transferred by the companies that actually belong to Ukrainians, but are registered in offshore jurisdictions.
"That is, this fact is negative," he said.
Earlier, the regulator noted that in 2017, the repatriation of business dividends amounted to $ 1.8 billion, slightly exceeding the forecasts of the National Bank.
