Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman believes that the country needs about 10 years to become economically self-sufficient, he said during a speech at the 13th meeting of Heads Of Foreign Diplomatic Institutions of Ukraine, UNIAN reports.
"Today we borrow financial resources on the international markets in order to repay old debts, perhaps, on better terms, to recapture, to win the right time for the national economy to grow, and we become an absolutely self-sufficient economy," Groisman said.
According to him, Ukraine needs about 10 years for the full path to a self-sufficient economy.
"We will need some time to become economically self-sufficient, for 10 years I can cope with this task, which means that our economy will undergo positive changes every year," Groisman added.
