In 1st half of 2018, Ukraine implemented donor projects, totaling almost $5 bln, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade informs, ubr.ua reports.
Meanwhile, out of the said amount, $1.3 bln are financed from Chernobyl Fund “Ukrytie” and Nuclear Safety Account. It is also noted that the Ministry of Economic Development analyzed the implementation of international technical assistance projects in 1st half 2018, based on the monitoring, represented by their beneficiaries.
In terms of project funding, the largest donors, providing the international technical assistance to Ukraine, are:
$ U.S. - $1.7 bln (102 projects);
EBRD - $719.8 mln (38 projects);
EU - $382.8 mln (176 projects);
Germany - $342.3 mln (31 projects);
$ Canada - $142.2 mln (16 projects).
In terms of the spheres of intended use, in 1st half of 2018, the amounts of assistance were allotted as follows:
$ national security and defense - $1.1 bln (31%);
$ nuclear safety (not taking into account Chernobyl Fund) - $842.2 mln (23%);
$ management and civil community - $431 mln (12%);
regional development - $285.9 mln (8%);
restoring Donbass and supporting internally displaced persons - $192.6 mln (5%)
$ energy and energy efficiency - $149.4 mln (4%);
education and science - $106.3 mln (4%),
$ healthcare - $103.8 mln (3%).
