Their salary increased by 50-60%
Since 2012, health care workers who provide primary care in the pilot regions are awarded incentive bonuses for the amount and quality of work done. This was announced by the head of the health care reform office Constantine Nadutyi during a briefing at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry says.
«Thanks to this their wages on the basis of 2012 -2013 increased by an average of 50-60 % compared to 2011» - he said, adding that for the first time in history the number of family physicians working in primary health care was more than 10 thousand people».
Constantine Nadutyi also said that the Government adopted a resolution to increase the level of wages for young professionals involved in the work in the villages and towns. «This will raise the prestige of the doctor, who will work under the direction of government in rural areas», - said the head of health care reform office.
