The number of information agencies is increasing in Ukraine
In 2013, 34 news agencies were registered - the largest number in the last 4 years, as no news agency did not stop its activities, the press service of the Ministry of Justice informs.
For comparison: in 2012 – 23 agencies were registered, 2011 - 30, 2010 - 27.
1044 printed media were also registered in 2013, 38 stopped their activities, while in 2012 – 63 items.
Under the law, the grounds stop operation for the print media are:
- Passing the one year period for the production of print media after receiving the certificate of registration;
- The decision of the founder of the printed media, agreed with the editorial board.
Let’s recall that from 8 of January 2014 the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine simplified registration of the printed media: amendments to the rules of registration of the print media, according to the order of the Ministry of Justice "On Amendments to the Regulation on state registration of the print media" came into force.
It is about reducing the number of documents to be submitted for state registration, as well as the specified volume of information that indicates related persons in a registration application.
