In case of declaration of the martial law, the operation of the banking system of Ukraine will not be violated, Governor of the National Bank Yakov Smolii said during the session of the National Security and Defense Council, ET reports.
“Mister President, the decisions, which will be accepted, will in no way affect the operation of the banking system. The bank branches and offices will operate as usual. The decision will not affect operation of the banks”, Smolii said.
Reportedly, based on results of NSDC session, President Petro Poroshenko requested the Verkhovna Rada to consider the decision on declaring a martial law in Ukraine at extraordinary meeting on Monday.
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubii convoked the extraordinary session of the parliament for 04:00 p.m. on November 26.
Reportedly, on November 25, the ships of Naval Forces of Ukraine were attacked by Russian militaries.
As a result, according to Naval Forces data, the Russians captured three ships and wounded 6 Ukrainian militaries.
During NSDCU session, Chief of General Staff Victor Muzhenko stated that there were 23 people in total on Ukrainian ships; the fate of sailors from ships of the Naval Forces, which were captured by Russian intelligence agencies, is unknown to Ukraine.
