Ministry of revenue and duties of Ukraine reports
Throughout 2013 Ukraine imported 10 thousand tons of humanitarian aid. The total amount of imported goods amounted to more than $41 million.
Statistics of Minrevenue informs that almost 40% of aid was imported from Germany. United States - 12%, and the Netherlands - 11% are also the leaders in aid.
The most popular categories of imported goods were textiles and shoes. During this period economic operators imported more than 4 tons of cargo, a total of $4.6 million. Machinery, equipment and motor vehicles were imported on 1.2 tons of almost $10 million.
However, the greatest amount of imported humanitarian aid - more than $20 million were chemicals and rubber. Last year Ukraine imported 532 tons of pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, essential oils, detergents and other chemical products.
Also let’s recall that with the initiative of Minrevenue government decided that humanitarian supplies and goods that are in the warehouses of revenue and duties over the regulatory deadlines due to delays in procedures for the recognition as humanitarian aid, are exempt from paying for storage.
Thus, those receiving a cargo, which has been recognized as humanitarian aid, will be exempt from the payment of 13 million UAH for storage.
