A signature of Igor Sorokin appears on the banknote of 2, 20, 100 and 500 UAH
1 of April 2014 in Ukraine there will be new 2 and 20 hryvnia notes. Each bill will have the signature of the head of the National Bank, Igor Sorkin. Banking system has received the relevant resolution of the NBU (№ 542). National min received an ordered to print new bills. Central repository of the National Bank will begin shipping on time, Vesta reports.
The report states that 100-hryvnia banknotes with Sorkin signature will be manufactured and launched into circulation from 1 June 2014, and 500 UAH – from 1 of September.

Under current law, the new note issue must be signed by the head of the National Bank, who shall serve at the time of issue. Igor Sorkin is the head of NBU from 11 of January 2013, before Serhiy Arbuzov has held this position.
The hryvnia was introduced in money circulation in Ukraine on September 2, 1996. To date, the currency has 9 denominations: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 UAH.
