The special operation «Excise-2014» has started
From the beginning of the year, officials of Minrevenue confiscated from illicit trafficking the excise goods totaling more than 24 million UAH. This was discussed during a seminar for employees in the units of revenue and duties, the press service of Minrevenue says.
Today the most common schemes for smuggling the tobacco products is their transit through Ukraine to the non-existent or bogus non-resident companies, moving across the border with Ukraine in concealment from customs control using masking as other goods and out of the customs posts. Therefore an operation "Excise-2014" has launched.
According to experts of Minrevenue, the results of the special operation "Excise-2014" will be a significant reduction in the shadow segment of excisable products that primarily shall support our legal producers and increase cash inflows to the budget.
