There will be no exceptions for Ukraine
Russia will not revise the decision on the fact that since January 2015 all foreign nationals will be required to enter the country with international passport, according to the director of the Federal Migration Service Konstantin Romodanovskii, the newspaper Vedomosti informs.
According to him, this is due to the fact that in many countries, citizens are not provided documents, where they could put a mark on the border crossing. Russia, in turn, seeks to work within international standards, which provide a record of foreign nationals.
The Head of the Federal Migration Service named a "sensitive" question of whether or not Russia got requests from other countries to postpone this date to a later period. "I will not answer this question. But I will say that our position on this matter is brought to all countries. We hope that they will cope with this problem" - said K.Romodanovskyy.
