Ukraine shall receive $ 155 million
The government continues the systematic cooperation in energy sector with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This was announced by Acting Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov, his press office says.
«I want to thank our colleagues from the EBRD system for supporting the sector. As the largest investor in Ukraine, the bank supports us in the implementation of major energy projects. We especially value that the funds are allocated under favorable conditions for our economy» - he said.
In this regard, Sergei Arbuzov said about the recent decision of the bank to allocate $ 155 million for Ukraine including Ukrainian banks to support energy and small business in Ukraine.
From these funds, he said, $ 100 million will be invested in development of sustainable energy sources and energy efficiency.
In addition, the EBRD has approved a new program to support small and medium enterprises with $ 55 million.
