Asset value of venture capital funds makes up 164,25 bln hryvnias
The National Securities and Stock Market Commission reports value of assets of venture capital funds continues upward trend. As of October 1, 2013 the reports submitted to NSSMC by funds totaled 1068, while the value of assets of investment collectives amounted to 164,25 bln hryvnias. As compared with data for 2012 this index grew by 9 %, according to the press-service of the regulatory authority.
«This evidences constant interest of investors despite of existing investment risks venture capital funds face», - commented Oksana Symonenko, Head of NSSMC’s Collective Investment and Institutional Investor Regulation.
Based on the information given by the asset management companies, venture investment collectives totaled 1039 in 2012, their asset value made up 148,725 bln hryvnias.
Please note that venture funds remain most popular type of collective investment schemes, and their asset value makes up 90% of total assets all collective investment schemes have.
