Rospotrebnadzor, Consumer Rights Inspectorate, has detected a violation of consumer rights
The federal service of the Russian Federation dealing with control over violations of consumer rights and prosperity of people reports the outcomes of the check made by the state inspection authorities tracing the supply of foods, with regard to the requirements of the legislation specifying consumer rights; it became evident that dairy products did not comply with the said requirements, the statements of Rospotrebnadzor says:
- cheeses made by PE Ros, subsidiary of Akhtyrsky Cheese Processing Plant and JSC Piriatin Cheese Processing Plant did not conform to the requirements of Federal Law dd.12.06.2008 № 88-ФЗ, namely Technical Specifications for Milk and Dairy Products, in terms of fats and acid fractions;
- cheeses produced by JSC Piriatin Cheese Processing Plant did not comply with the requirements of Federal Law dd. 12.06.2008 № 88-ФЗ, namely Technical Specifications for Milk and Dairy Products, in terms of protein fraction, fats and moisture fractions.
In addition, the cheeses manufactured by PJSC Zolotonosha Butter-Making Plant and those made by Techmolprom Ltd. did not conform to other requirements of Federal Law dd. 12.06.2008 № 88-ФЗ - Technical Specifications for Milk and Dairy Products.
All laboratory researches were carried out by the test centers accredited in full compliance with both Russian and international accreditation systems.
With purpose of enforcement of consumer rights, Rospotrebnadzor has suspended the import of dairy products produced in Ukraine to the territory of the Russian Federation: PE Ros, subsidiary of Akhtyrsky Cheese Processing Plant, JSC Piriatin Cheese Processing Plant, Gadiachsyr Ltd., PJSC Zolotonosha Butter-Making Plant and Techmolprom Ltd.
The relevant information was sent to the competent bodies as set out in WTO regulations, to the Federal Customs Service and Rospotrebnadzor administrations in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
