A number of well-to-do people in the capital are increasing
The Kyiv dwellers have filed 13,6 ths tax returns showing income and expenses on property and other earnings which amounts reported total UAH 4,4 bln, while more than half of this sum, more precisely UAH 2,6 bln, was reported by 488 millionaires residing in the Ukrainian capital, Экономическая правда reports.
Thus, out of the total amount of income reported by the Kyivans, tax deductions to the budget treated as tax on income the natural persons pay amounted to UAH 73,5 mln, while the amount of tax payments made by the millionaires equalled UAH 40 mln.
The ministerial department reports a number of millionaires in Kyiv have grown: last year there were 304 rich people, and their total income made up UAH 833,6 mln.
In the current year, according to the data given by the Main Office of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties in Kyiv city, the most wealthy Kyivan declared the income of UAH 236,3 mln gained in 2013 on which the tax is due, with UAH 189 mln made when selling property.
The declarant has already paid to the budget tax on income totalling UAH 9,5 mln. The ministerial department has not disclosed the declarant’s name to the public.
