A sharp rise in prices of medicines is groundless
Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arseny Yatsenyuk has given an instruction to check the reasonableness of growing prices of medicines, as has been said at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
«I’m appealing to all those selling medicines, pharmaceutical products, and drugs, do not prove the proverb: war makes some people rich. If the rate grew by 20%, it should actually equal only 20, but not 120... The Ministry of Health of Ukraine should ensure monitoring, and the Ministry of Economics through the State Price Inspectorate of Ukraine should control fulfillment of the resolution setting forth the government is to regulate pricing of medicines», - A.Yatsenyuk said.
In addition, the Minister charged to carry out through check of pharmacies located at the hospitals. In particular, to clarify who are the owners of these pharmacies and what prices are set for medicines there.
