The Ministry of Social Policy reports over 5 million hryvnias have been earmarked for social security payments
Minister for Social Policy Lyudmila Denisova informed that as of May 6 the amount of funds disbursed by the department she chairs reached 24,8% of total sum required to pay pension benefits in May. 5071,9 million hryvnias have been already disbursed, the press-office of the ministerial departments reports.
She noted the pensions were funded, so the funds were transferred to the post offices and banking institutions as of the 8th of May and the 7th of May, correspondingly.
Besides, Lyudmila Denisova said the first tranche funds have been already allocated in the regions to fund social security benefits to be paid in May, which amount made up 3,3 billion hryvnias. So, low-income families, families with children, disabled children and those disabled since childhood have already obtained their benefits.
According to the Minister, as of May 6 around 1,2 billion hryvnias that is 30,9% of a required sum were transmitted to the accounts of the social security administration offices in cities and oblasts of Ukraine. Additionally, 5,8 million hryvnias were credited to the accounts of post offices and banking institutions.
