262,1 billion hryvnias earmarked will ensure benefits payments in May
Minister for Social Policy Lyudmila Denosiva informed that post office branches and banking institutions received UAH 262,1 million to make payments in May to low-income families, families with children, disabled children and those disabled since childhood. This makes up 97,1% of the amount of funds needed, the press-service of the Ministry of Social Policy reports.
In total, as of May 26 district and city social security administrations obtained UAH 268 million that is 99,3% of their needs. The money amounting to around 2 million hryvnias failed to be delivered to Kramatorsk, Slaviansk and boroughs of the Slaviansk district in Donetsk oblast.
The Minister told the release of the second tranche of social security benefits started on May 20.
