Export volume and prices
Grain export as at 10.06.2014
Actual export volume makes up 31619 thousand tonnes, with wheat – 9107 thousand tonnes; corn - 19823 thousand tonnes; barley - 2347 thousand tonnes and other cereals - 342 thousand tonnes.
Besides, dock-side grain elevators store 781 thousand tonnes of cereals (wheat - 316 thousand tonnes, barley - 92 thousand tonnes, corn - 370 thousand tonnes), grain loaded in the ship’s holds added up to nearly 47 thousand tonnes.
Thus, volume of cereals being exported and packed for export amounts to 32,4 million tonnes (wheat - 9,5 million tonnes, barley - 2,4 million tonnes and corn - 20,2 million tonnes).
Pricing on the domestic grain market:
Today, price of grain harvested in 2013/2014 is within the range given below, depending on the region: wheat of the 3-rd class - from 1790 up to 2760 UAH/tonne, wheat fodder of the 6-th class - 1659 up to 2660 UAH/tonne.
Currently prices of the food and feed grain are as follows: wheat of the 3-rd class - 2381 UAH/tonne, feed grain - 2240 UAH/tonne
The average costs of barley and corn are 1946 UAH/tonne and 2107 UAH/tonne, respectively.
