The Ukraine’s SSMSC has published a bi-annual report

In May 2014 the Securities and Stock Market Committee registered 12 corporate bond issues totalling UAH 5,23 billion, which is a larger value as compared with the previous month with 7 bond issues which amount reached around UAH 530 million. Meantime, the amount of corporate bonds registered with the SSMSC during January-May 2014 added up to UAH16,18 billion, showing nearly a quarter rise as compared with a similar period in 2013. «It is worth noting that 31% of these debt securities are those issued by banks, while the rest 69% are corporate bonds in various industry sectors», - commented Alla Papaika, Director of SSMSC’s Corporate Management & Corporate Finance, citing the SSMSC’s press-office.

Additionally, in January-May 2014 the regulator registered 53 bond issues equalling UAH 5,16 billion, what is lower by UAH11,69 billion as compared with a similar period of the last year. «Reduction in amount of securities in May is an ordinary thing so far as business activity pace slows, moreover, this year the said tendency was stronger strengthened on anticipation of impending stabilization of the situation in the country what we hope will come true in the near future», - added A. Papaika.

Additionally, since the beginning of the current year till the end of May, the amount of investment certificates registered with the national commission dealing with these issues (mutual investment companies) made up UAH16,06 billion, what is UAH 1,42 billion more as compared to the similar period of 2013. As regards total amount of shares of mutual fund corporations  for January-May 2014, it dropped down up to UAH 321,44 million as compared to the similar period of the previous year.
