Banks’ expenses grew by 52,8%
The income of banks in Ukraine for January-May 2014 as compared to a similar period of 2013 increased by 34,3% and made up UAH 87,1 hryvnias. Meantime, their expenses for January-May 2014 as compared to a similar period of 2013 grew by 52,8% and amounted to UAH 97,5 hryvnias, the press-office of the National Bank of Ukraine reports.
During this period the banking sector has received deductible income amounting to UAH 10,4 hryvnias. The expenses the banks incurred had a substantial impact on amount of receipts..
Given that, for January-May 2014 the income of banks in Ukraine made up UAH 3,7 billion, excluding expenses incurred.
