The meeting of tax officers with representatives of business was held in Odesa
The Ministry of Revenue & Duties of Ukraine is awaiting the employment clean-up, told First Deputy Minister for Ukraine’s Revenue & Duties Ihor Bilous at the meeting with the representatives of business that was held in Odesa, the press-office of the ministerial department reports.
He said only those who proved being proficient and skilful and were not involved in illegal activity will be hired for new fiscal bodies’ jobs. We need such people to protect the economy of Ukraine.
Moreover, the money released from the shadow economy can substantially refill the government budget.
The question is, above all, about tax gaps or VAT loans.
According to the estimates made by the Ministry of Revenue & Duties of Ukraine, the money lost through tax avoidance, so called tax gaps, in 2013 topped UAH 300 billion, so the government budget didn’t obtain UAH 50 to 70 billion of VAT tax and income tax receipts.
«As a consequence, since March 2014 over UAH 1 billion of extra receipts from VAT have been received», - underscored Ihor Bilous.
