The case is being handed over to the prosecutor
The audit check of the state-owned enterprise Ukrainian Science & Research and Study Centre dealing with standardization, certification and quality for the period starting from 01.04.2010 to 28.02.2014 conducted by the experts of the National Financial Inspection of Ukraine in Kyiv city revealed violations that caused financial loss the amount of which exceeds UAH 1,5 million, the press-office of the NFI of Ukraine in Kyiv city reports.
Thus, the centre groundlessly paid over 1 million hryvnias for housing and utility services the tenant hired.
Moreover, over UAH 50 thousand were vainly spent on auditing and advertising services, these allocations were not envisaged in the financial plans.
The centre neither made claims review nor collected the money due from the debtor, so the ensuing losses climbed to over UAH 266 thousand. Consequently, the institution received around 53 thousand hryvnias of income less; any sanctions for failure to fulfil the commitments undertaken by the debtor were not imposed. Guilty persons did not reimburse for losses incurred.
In addition, the senior officials of the Centre overpaid for works and services they were provided, paid wages to dual jobholders when they were on sick leave, reimbursed former Director General for unused vacation, disbursed social security benefits which amount exceeded that scheduled. Summing up, nearly UAH 96 thousand were spent in vain.
The audit evidence received after checking economic performance of the state-owned enterprise Ukrainian Science & Research and Study Centre dealing with standardization, certification and quality was documented and handed over to the public prosecutor’s office in Kyiv city for carrying out further examination and passing a judgement.
