Over 6,6 thrillion hryvnias
A sum of money transferred through the e-payment system in the first quarter of 2014 totals 156,4 million hryvnias of initial payments and the amount of electronic payment messages sent makes up UAH 6694,3 billion, what is 4% less in number and 18% higher in amount as compared to the 1st quarter of 2013, the NBU’s press-office reports.
In average, 1,3 million payment transactions amounting to over 55,7 billion hryvnias have been processed this period through the e-payment system.
The overwhelming majority of initial payments and electronic payment messages were sent to banks in Ukraine and their branches via the electronic settlement system – more exactly, 146 million documents (93% out of total number).
The most sought-after way of payment among the e-system participants has been processing of the correspondent accounts a legal person uses to keep consolidated funds on, what is ensured by the bank-wide payment system enabling transfer of money between branches and facilitating interaction with the electronic settlement system, what makes it possible for branches to remit money via the interbank system.
To sum up, in the 1st half of the 2014 year a number of e-messages sent and initial payments made through the e-payment system reaches 70,8 million that is 45% out of total amount.
