First task force’s meeting is to be held this month
The National Bank of Ukraine has formed a task force that will deal with elaborating proposals on recovering assets and liabilities of the banks listed as insolvent, with banking licenses revoked and being adjudged bankrupt, the NBU’s press-office says.
The task force will be comprised of experts from the National Bank of Ukraine and specialists from the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
In forming the task force, the central bank attempts to protect interests of depositors and retain the Ukrainians’ confidence in the banking system.
The first task force meetings to be held this month will consider draft rules and regulations and discuss immediate tasks.
