Only basic salary for MPs
The parliamentary wages will be reduced from UAH 17 thousand up to 6,5 thousand hryvnias a month, Arseny Yatseniuk said at the briefing, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
Commenting the changes to the government budget and Tax Code of Ukraine approved by the Verkhovna Rada on July 31, 2014, Mr.Yatseniuk said: «We’ve decided to give MPs only a basic salary, which will amount to 6,5 thousand hryvnias instead of 17 thousand hryvnias. Thus, the salary paid to each MP will be 10 thousand hryvnias less».
Arseny Yatseniuk expects the government budget will obtain UAH 400 million after cancellation of allowances of government officials.
