The national employment bureau reports
The decision approved by the National Unemployment Fund of Ukraine at the end of July says from September 1, 2014, the minimum financial aid paid to the unemployed, including those who have taken out insurance and received a low salary before being assigned the unemployed status, has increased from 937 hryvnias up to 974 hryvnias and make up 80% (instead of 76.9%) of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons.
«Increased unemployment insurance benefits will be disbursed to over 120 thousand unemployed. In so doing, the minimum unemployment insurance benefits are approaching the subsistence minimum», – said Director of the National Unemployment Bureau Yury Kharchenko.
«We should do everything possible to guarantee an increase in the social safety net for the citizens of Ukraine», – said Head of the Fund Sergiy Kondriuk.
