The universities can transfer their money from the Treasury to bank accounts
Minister for Education and Science of Ukraine Sergei Kwit is of the opinion that higher institutions should be permitted to open accounts with banks, this will make a new edition of the law On Higher Education effective, he said today in a round-table talk titled “The Education Reform: The Law in Action!”, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“After adoption of a new law on higher education, we are to accomplish two subsequent tasks: to implement it, firstly, and, above all, to make the law efficient, we should enter changes to some enactments. What we are interested in is the amendments to the budget code, which can allow universities, at last, to open accounts with the banks so that to transfer money from the Treasury to the bank accounts”, - said Kwit.
