The August inflation figure was recorded at 0.8%
The Ukraine’s inflation rate (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol city) in September 2014 soared to 2.9% as compared to the inflation rate in August 2014 kept at 0.8%, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports citing the data from the Ukraine’s National Statistics Committee.
Before December 2013 the inflation rate was 16.2%, before September 2013 – 17.5%.
In particular, in September the prices of food and non-alcoholic drinks grew by 3%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - by 3,8%, clothes and shoes - by 7.9%, price of utilities, water, electricity, gas and other types of fuel - by 1.6%, household goods, domestic appliances and day-to-day building maintenance - by 2.2%, healthcare services - by 2%, transportation fare - by 3.3%, communication services - by 1, recreation and culture - by 2%, price of education – by 2.2%, price at the restaurants and hotels - by 0.5%.
