Another auction - on Friday
With purpose of replenishing cash resources of banks keeping exchange, the National Bank of Ukraine intervened in the market to sell foreign currency on a single price basis on October 29, 2014. The trades met the 100% demand for dollar the amount of which sold at the rate of 12.95 hryvnias for one US dollar made up $86.84 million, the press-office of the NBU reports.
The sales were held upon applications for foreign currency filed to the NBU, the amount of which cannot exceed 20% out of preannounced scope of the central bank’s intervention.
