The National Statistics Service reports 402.7 thousand unemployed
The unemployment rate in Ukraine (excluding the temporary occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city) in October 2014 was reportedly 1.5%, as compared with 1.6% in July-September, according to RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) with reference to the National Statistics Service of Ukraine.
In October 2014 the Public Employment Service of Ukraine registered 402.7 thousand jobless people (as compared with 418.1 thousand a month ago), with 307.9 thousand people obtaining unemployment allowances.
Urban population numbered 268.3 thousand people being out of work, among rural residents – 134.4 thousand jobless.
Moreover, in October 2014 the average allowance made up one thousand one hundred ninety nine hryvnias that is 45 hryvnias more as compared with the figures for September this year.
