Figures fell by 23%
The volume of capital investments in the economy of Ukraine from January through September of 2014, as compared with a similar period of 2013, decreased by 23% and made up over one hundred thirty five billion hryvnias, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports, with reference to the National Statistics Committee.
The biggest investments were disbursed to Kyiv – over forty one billion hryvnias (-15.1%), Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv oblasts – over 12 billion hryvnias (-15.3%) and 10 billion hryvnias (-29.4%), respectively.
Over130 billion hryvnias out of total amount were invested in tangible assets, over 5 billion hryvnias – into intangible assets.
The biggest investments were made in manufacturing – nearly 55 billion hryvnias, mining industry – over 12 billion hryvnias, and 27 billion hryvnias – into processing industry.
In addition, investments into construction made up 23 billion hryvnias, immovable property – over 6 billion hryvnias, in agriculture, forestry and fishery – over 11 billion hryvnias.
The government disbursed some 763.3 billion hryvnias (0.6% out of total amount), local government – around 2 billion hryvnias (1.5%), own funds of enterprises and organizations – over 97 billion hryvnias (71.8%), banks’ loans and other loans – over 13 billion hryvnias (9.8%), funding by population for housing construction – over 15 billion hryvnias (11.1%), foreign investors’ funds – above 2 billion hryvnias (1.8%), other sources of finance – nearly 4 billion hryvnias (3.4%).
