The index increased by 14.4% in October
In October of 2014, as compared with a previous month, wage arrears in Ukraine grew by 14.4%, and on November 1, 2014, exceeded 2.2 billion hryvnias, LIGABusinesInform (ЛIГАБiзнесIнформ) reports according to the data submitted by the National Statistics Committee.
The most debt has been reported in Donetsk (944 million hryvnias), Kyiv (124.6 million hryvnias) and Kharkiv (118.6 million hryvnias) oblasts. Chernivtsy (3.9 million hryvnias), Zakarpatie (3.9 million hryvnias) and Ternopyl (9.4 million hryvnias) oblasts have the least amount of debt.
In terms of share in it, the following sectors have the most debt: manufacturing (1.2 billion hryvnias), transportation sector, postal and courier services (251.1 million hryvnias), professional, scientific and technical activities (122.5 million hryvnias), construction (101.2 million hryvnias).
